The Baslini Group has been working for decades as a producer and distributor of raw and accessory materials for industry and agriculture. Its vast experience and knowledge of markets guarantee that it offers advanced products which are technologically on target and economically appealing. Dr. Ernesto Baslini founded Baslini S.p.A. (Italian Ltd Co.) in Darfo, Italy in 1922. He started producing synthetic acetaldehyde and some of its derivatives by directly applying some of his own patents. Three years later, he founded the “Flour Industrie Chimiche” (Flour Chemical Industries) in the Treviglio plant. This is still the company’s core and base, and Baslini started producing fluorinates [fluorides] for the chemical, metallurgical, and tanning industry. The form of company was modified into Baslini S.p.A. (Italian Ltd Co.) in 1989. The company has been producing a growing number of chemical products for industry and agriculture for decades, asserting itself decisively on the Italian industrial panorama, thanks to its constant reliability. Furthermore, the adoption of original processing procedures has gained the company qualified recognition. Among some of its awards are a gold medal (1937) and two silver medals (1932 and 1940) from the Lombard Institute of Sciences and Letters. Dr. Antonio Baslini took over the company’s presidency from his father in 1956. A Member of the Italian Parliament from 1963 to 1987, Dr. Antonio Baslini has also served Italy as the Undersecretary of State and in many other public offices.
